Saddle point detection in 4 D PC - MRI blood - flow

چکیده
To extract critical points from a (3D time-resolved) blood-flow velocity field, we employ a 3D winding number algorithm. Experiments are performed to asses the behavior of the winding number algorithm. First is experimented with artificial data sets, and the robustness of the winding number algorithm is tested, along with the indexation algorithm and the clustering algorithm. Subsequently, some experiments with measured 4D phase contrast MRI blood-flow data are performed, and results are discussed.
